I'm a very sophisticated packer when it comes to packing accessories and a ton of clothing. I feel like a person who absolutely NEEDS to pack everything in sight, lol! It's so weird, because I end up packing less then I ever expected. Here are a few of my "essentials" which I absolutely NEED to "survive".
1) Accessories; if you're a person who basically hoards necklaces and jewellery, you are not alone, trust me. A few hacks that I find are wearing your accessories while going on the plane or at the airport (unless of strict security codes, etc). Also, if you have some necklaces you want to pack and don't want them to tangle up, look at this efficient "hack": Just weave your necklace and clasp it through the straw; so simple! Earrings included with buttons :)

2) Clothing; you might have heard this before, but roll up your clothing - it will save you lots of room.
3) Carry on; I NEED to have a book with me, a notebook to write and draw in, lip balm, (my lips get really dry when flying), a sleep mask, (not always, but on long haul flights I would prefer to bring one), some small snacks, lastly, pens and pencils. This is really all that I need to keep me going on a flight; remembering not to over pack is a chore! Remember to keep track of how much you pack- after all, it is a carry on :P
